On this 16 August, Sunday Microsoft has talked with Chinese technology company ByteDance to buy the social media TikTok in the US. Microsoft is working on a deal to buy the US sector of the mobile app TikTok from the Chinese parent company Bytedance. There’s also talks of Microsoft potentially buying all the share of TikTok.
The mobile app has an impressive 800 million monthly active users from 150 countries but has been scrutinized for its security issues. India has already banned the app altogether. The US Government has given Microsoft until September 15th to close on a deal, or they will ban the app from the United States. President Donald Trump says that the US Treasury should also benefit in some way from this particular deal.
While the Indian Government has banned 47 Chinese Apps for national Security issues. After this US also thinking to ban TikTok in us for national security, while they found that the Chinese government stored data of mobile users and apps users. So Microsoft is in the middle of negotiations with TikTok, they would like to purchase the app. And if that happens, Donald Trump has also noted that he would like the United States to get a cut of that deal.
Donald Trump said, Whether it’s Microsoft or somebody else buys it, that’ll be interesting. But more than anything else, I said a very substantial portion of that price is gonna have to come into the treasury of the UnitedStates. Right now they don’t have any rights unless we give it to them, so if we’re gonna give them the rights, then it has to come into this country.
Microsoft is usually associated with annoying work software. Mainly TikTok is popular for young users. So that’s I think, that’s their play here. in some circumstances, the US government absolutely does deserve a cut of profits or some sort of deal that positively impacts the lives of Americans. And those certain circumstances involve the insane amount of money that US taxpayers spend on the research and development of these massive corporations.
The same corporations who then turn around and price gouge us, the same pharmaceutical companies who then turn around and price gorgeous. In those cases, the US government and the American taxpayer has a very active role in helping build that corporation, and we deserve something in return for that.

Many youngsters become so much popular, that they become a celebrity and they have been treated like a celebrity.

If Microsoft buys TikTok then India also removes the ban from TikTok so TikTok lovers can again watch their favorite app. If we see generally TikTok is a really successful app. There is a great number of audiences especially youth is highly engaging in it.
So this opens up a lot of opportunities for business and Microsoft wants to seize this opportunity and we all know that Microsoft is a really big and trusted company and if it acquires TikTok, TikTok might also get more trust from the public and this might attract more users so this produces a win-win situation for Microsoft and Tiktok both.
